Chi Delta Theta Sorority Inc.
Message From Our President
On the behalf of the sisters of the Alpha chapter of Chi Delta Theta Sorority Incorporated, hello! I’m Sierra Benitez, chapter president at the Univesity of California, Santa Barbara. I am extremely thankful to be serving this organization I have called home for most of my college career. Personally, I never considered joining a greek organization prior to college until I joined this group of some of the most inspiring and hard working women I’ve ever met. Chidelts have given me the confidence and space to pursue my goals and to be myself, and I know that at the end of the day they will always be there whenever I’m in need. As chapter members we are constantly challenging ourselves to push limits and thrive as university women. We invite you to browse our website for further information!
Chi Delta Theta Sorority Inc. is an Asian-American & Multicultural interest sorority that was established on October 13,1989 at the University of California at Santa Barbara by founding mothers Alison Suto-Stripling and Joanne Yamaoka Kato.
Over the past thirty years, Chi Delta Theta has expanded to include six other chapters with over a hundred active sisters spanning throughout California. Chidelts strive to promote friendship, communication, cultural awareness, and social activity among university women. These goals are reflected in our five pillars - sisterhood, community service, cultural awareness, academics, and social activity.
Chi Delta Theta proudly supports the mission of the nonprofit movement To Write Love on Her Arms. TWLOHA is dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for those who are struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. To Write Love on Her Arms exists to encourage, inform, inspire, and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery.
