Theta Nu Kappa Multicultural and Academic Fraternity

Chapter Information

Theta Nu Kappa Multicultural & Academic Fraternity was founded on the glorious day of November 20, 2007 at the University of California, Santa Barbara. It was founded to emphasize diversity and scholarship within a brotherhood.

As Theta Nu Kappa Multicultural & Academic Fraternity, we are a group of young men who feel we can improve the standards and norms of the community by embracing diversity and exemplifying genuine leadership. As a collective unit, we strive to promote significant positive changes for all people regardless of race, personal identifications, or economic status, while emphasizing the importance of individual potential. We are committed to upholding these standards by becoming advocates for social justice and demonstrating behavioral and academic prudence. Together, we are confident in our ability to promote the vision we have, as Theta Nu Kappa, in order to develop young gentlemen into the leaders of tomorrow.

Theta Nu Kappa’s story began on November 20, 2007, when the Founding Fathers held their first official meeting and signed a contract promising to uphold the values of the fraternity. Just weeks later, they elected sophomore Charlie Arreola as their first president, and by January 22, 2008, Theta Nu Kappa became an officially recognized student organization before finalizing its colors, pillars, and mascot that April. The fraternity reached another major milestone on November 29, 2012, when it joined the United Fraternity and Sorority Council, now known as the United Sorority and Fraternity Council (USFC).
