USFC is unique because our council brings together culturally based fraternities and sororities that celebrate a wide range of identities, along with traditions and communities. While each organization in the council has its own special history, values and membership experience, we all still share the commitment to creating spaces where our members can build meaningful connections, develop as leaders and celebrate culture and community. Our organizations also have different recruitment processes than other fraternity and sorority councils. This gives students the opportunity to explore organizations in an intentional and personal way. Together, the council creates a diverse and supportive community within Fraternity & Sorority Life at UCSB.
